Success Tips for Home Business for beginner

05:10 Add Comment
Running a home business has many benefits such as flexibility, the ability to create your own schedule and even a tax break. This benefit is hard to beat, but growing home-based business is 'easy-to-hard'.
success-tips-for-home-business-for-beginner

However, being a home-based business does not mean "stay small" or limit your odds. Actually, some of the most famous companies in the world like Apple, Hershey's and Ford Motor Company initially started their business as a home-based business. Then, 69% of entrepreneurs start their business from their homes.

If you have great aspirations and are looking for ways to turn your brilliant idea into tangible business that runs through your home, then you need a plan. Consider the following tips for starting and running your home business:

1. Evaluate your residence

Running a business from home does not mean your home is an ideal location. Probably, but maybe you need to adjust. Think about your current dwelling space and compare it with the business model you have in mind. If you have to meet with customers or employees, can you comfortably make it happen in your home? Is your home easy to find? Do you have adequate parking space?

Also, see if zoning and laws in your current location prohibit certain businesses or business types. If there is a suspension during this evaluation, moving to a home that is more suitable to run the business while living comfortably may be a good first step.

2. Saving and Preparing the Inventory

Once you are sure your home is ready to run the business, it's time to focus on your actual office space. First, make sure you have a specific area that is suitable for doing business. Maybe you can equip your home with office. If not, consider dividing a certain area from a larger room, Separate a spacious room with a wall cabinet to create an office space. Or even you can turn your garage into the office of your dreams, like the big businessmen who are famous today

Also, think about the supplies you need to do business. Everything from furniture to office supplies should be considered when you are budgeting the initial costs. Check what you need in the future, and look for ways to save. Services like Amazon's Subscribe and Save allow business owners to save a certain percentage of ongoing purchases, so you can save a significant amount of money in the long run.

While preparing supplies, think about the brand for your product. Personal branding is just as important for home-based businesses as it is for big companies. Look at investors in marketing materials that carry your logo and create a website. They also do the same thing. Consult with the designer if you are not sure where to start.

3. Set your schedule

You may dream of flexibility in your business. But if your business is new, then to get it requires hard work. To organize your schedule, consider:
  • How many hours per day do you need to keep your business up and running.
  • What is your current schedule like? What can you rearrange, and what will you plan to do?
  • When you work best. Are you a morning person or a night owl? When do you feel the most efficient and focused work? For most adults, the answer to this question is in the morning. Plan your work on your most productive working hours.
  • When your customers and business partners are available. If you work most productively in the middle of the night, but you should contact your customers or major business partners during normal business hours, this may be difficult.
Once you have considered all the important factors listed above, create your actual schedule. Mark it on your calendar and share it with your family and friends, so they understand that you're really working. Even if you are at home, yet beneficial to everyone.

4. Get your book straight from day one

Here is the problem. Running a business from your home is certainly equipped with many tax benefits. However, there are still penalties for failing to comply with the tax laws and failing to report the right level of income. To avoid this, consider investing a comprehensive tax software from the early stages of doing business to keep your business book straight, or start working with a tax accountant. Ensuring that your operations are in compliance with government regulations will protect your business in the future.

5. Consult a business attorney

Just like government regulations, there are many laws that apply to home-based businesses. This is especially true if you are going to use a contractor or hire an employee. Missteps or omissions can damage your business. Consider looking for a reliable business lawyer in your area and ask for a consultation. A lawyer can help:

Setting up the right structure -> LLC, corporation, partnership or other options. Make sure you have the appropriate documents for each employee. Determine whether a person should be considered a contractor or employee. Ask the right questions and provide feedback to ensure you are moving forward according to the law.

How to get business funds without a bank loan

"WANT TO OPEN OWN BUSINESS, BUT DO NOT HAVE FUND? MAJOR LOANS IN BANK, FEAR BUSINESS YET SUCCESS BUT HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED. SO, WHAT SHOULD I DO?"

Making a decision between choosing to open a business or work is certainly not an easy thing. Both are equally good and can advance your thoughts and financial needs in the future. However, as the rapid development of the era, the thought of opening a business increasingly 'poison' young children who still or have graduated from school.

You may have a big idea to open a new business or start-up. You may need a website, some staff, some office space, and of course, at least have enough money (funds) to finance your business.

Which means you need money. Whether it's for a cool new app or setting up a grand cafe, most businesses and most entrepreneurs need at least a small amount of money to actually start a business.

Here we will discuss 4 ways how to get business funds without loan.

1. For those of you who are already working, do a bit of drainage by setting aside $20-$100 per month.

Setting aside some of the income you earn per month is the easiest and closest way if you are able and diligent in living it. Similarly, you are still in college, you can set aside pocket money per month. A little bit of trimming and careful in managing the money should be practiced at this stage. If necessary, separate the money for the essentials and saving your future venture funds in an envelope.

2. If collecting $100 per month is still difficult to do, try the trick 'a day a hundred' in order to complete the intention of entrepreneurship.

At first glance, this one trick looks impossible and rarely works, huh? Wait, dont misunderstand. With the 'day one thousand' way that you regularly do, small funds for the dream business is not impossible anymore.

3. Still hard to save money?

Relax, be the second hand that sells the goods back from the distributor. For those of you who can not save money and save money, tricks into second hand or reseller can be practiced. By utilizing the digital era that has started 'viral' in all circles, you can find out which trusted distributors are in need of a reseller.

Resellers of fashion products for example, with a profit of $1-$2 per item only, you can collect funds from now. Do not forget, first prepare gadget and ATM which will be needed in every step become reseller. If the profit is too little, just try to become a reseller of mobile phones or other electronics whose profits can reach hundreds of thousands per transaction.

4. Among your many friends, there must be one who intends to become an entrepreneur.

Take advantage of this opportunity to start a joint venture system. Ever heard of a joint venture? Yes, the profit-sharing system that begins with the funds money collected together. No need to fear for loss or failure, doing business with close friends is certainly more tempting and reliable. Collect the amount of money you have then discuss it to determine what effort you will build.

"Then what if I just have the funds and my friend just have the skill?"

Well, if by chance you who have some funds money and your friends have the skill or ability of his business, it's okay. It also can still be categorized as a joint venture between friends. Build a trust system and good deal profits from the start as it is useful to avoid disputes between friends.

Without troublesome parents, it's not hard not to be a young entrepreneur with his own funds?

3 smart business ideas nowdays you can try

15:40 Add Comment
Millennials face financial barriers when trying to start a business, including higher student loan debt and lower starting wages than previous generations.

These challenges, cited in a 2016 survey by business services firm EY and policy organization Economic Innovation Group, are making it difficult for young people to become entrepreneurs.

3-smart-business-ideas-nowdays-you-can-try

Less than 2% of Millennials were self-employed as of 2014, compared with 7.6% for Generation X and 8.3% for baby boomers, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

But entrepreneurship is still possible for Millennials, defined in this article as adults under 35: Here are three smart business ideas that match up well with the skills, interests and passions of many in this generation — along with the experiences of a few who have used them successfully.
1. Social media coaching or training
Social media is second nature to Millennials: 88% of people between the ages of 18 and 29 used Facebook every day in 2016, compared with 62% of those over the age of 65, according to a Pew Research Center study.

Social-media-savvy Millennials can turn those skills into a business teaching small businesses and others how to use digital tools to stay relevant in the marketplace.

Success story: Tracy Samantha Schmidt, 32, is a social media educator and digital marketing consultant. She says social media coaching is a low-cost, potentially lucrative business idea because it can lead to other opportunities in digital marketing.

“[Clients] may realize they need an email marketing person, a web designer, a blogger, a copywriter,” says Schmidt, a former journalist.

For social media coaching, a reasonable rate to charge is $50 an hour to start, according to Schmidt. “I know a lot of people who go for that rate,” she says. “Executives are willing to pay up to $200 per hour, but they’re going to want someone who’s done it for corporations and has credibility.” The amount you get may depend on the market where you live.
2. Nonprofit organization
Starting a nonprofit could be a good match for a socially conscious Millennial: 88% of Millennials say a job is more fulfilling if they can make a positive impact on social and environmental issues, according to a 2016 study by Cone Communications, a public relations and marketing agency.

While a nonprofit fulfills a social mission, it’s also important to operate it as a business and diversify sources of income, says Sarah LaFave, 28, a registered nurse who co-founded Lori’s Hands, which connects college student volunteers to people living with chronic illnesses in Newark, Del. She named the nonprofit after her mother, who died from breast cancer while LaFave was a high school freshman.

“We spend a lot of time thinking of new and creative ways to bring in funds so we’re never depending on a single source,” LaFave says.

Success story: Growing up working for his family’s moving company in New Jersey, Adam Lowy, 31, was bothered to learn that so much nonperishable food gets thrown away during a move. After donating to his local food bank, he learned that thousands in his county didn’t have enough to eat.

That experience led Lowy to start Move for Hunger, which works with moving companies to donate unwanted nonperishable food. It has delivered over 7 million pounds of consumables to food banks across North America since 2009.

“I feel like I’ve been able to make a difference in people’s lives, and to me that’s way more rewarding than any paycheck,” Lowy says.Identify a problem and come up with a solution the market has yet to find, just like you would try to do with a for-profit business, he says.
3. Subscription-based product or service
Millennials love their subscription services: 70% own a product subscription, such as Birchbox or Dollar Shave Club, while 89% own a service subscription, such as Netflix or Spotify. That’s more than any other generation, according to a 2017 study by payments processor Vantiv.

Young entrepreneurs can tap into the demand for subscription services to launch a business.

Success story: Ryan Perlowin, 29, is the founder and CEO of My Happy Plates, which delivers customized weekly meal plans and recipes via email. The subscription-service business model carries benefits for both entrepreneurs and customers, he says.

Many subscription services (My Happy Plates included) offer free trials, so customers can try them out and cancel at any time.

You can validate a business idea much faster and cheaper, and get valuable feedback from customers to incorporate into product changes, he says.

“Get a basic version of your product going without spending much time or money, and see if people adopt it,” he says. “If the problem is there, and you can validate that this is a real problem that you’re solving, you have to go for it.”

How to increasing profit for small business

How to increasing profit for small business
Increasing profitability often depends on doing many small things, rather than making one big change. Discover how to increase your profit.

Profit margins are fundamental to success and growth in business. There are two ways that you can increase those margins – reducing costs or increasing sales. Aim to take small steps so you keep your loyal customers on your side.
Find ways to cut costs
Identify the steps you can take to minimise your direct costs, such as by:
  • Negotiating lower prices with your suppliers
  • Reviewing processes and systems to minimise wastage
  • Implementing additional security to reduce the chance of theft
Review your supply chain
You could save a considerable amount of money by renegotiating your supply deals on a regular basis – or at least by keeping an eye on the market. Costs that could be regularly reviewed in your business include insurance, electricity, and mobile and Internet costs.
Make your processes more efficient
  • Cut your raw material costs by reducing wastage
  • Increase production line productivity by introducing lean manufacturing techniques
  • Reduce the amount of money spent on stock by implementing just-in-time ordering
Look at all your business’s processes and brainstorm ways of making them more efficient in order to save money. You could, for example:
Increase your margins with small, frequent improvements
It’s critical you keep a close eye on your competitors’ prices in relation to your own. Your customers will have more respect for the way you operate your business if you implement minimal price increases when you need to – so they don’t even really notice.

There are two main ways of boosting your business’s profit margins:
  •     Reducing your costs
  •     Restructuring your prices
Focus on small increases in prices and minor cuts in your costs on regular occasions. You may be able to slowly increase your profit margins if you go about this in a smart way. Hitting your customers hard in the pocket with significant increases will see them looking elsewhere.
Plan ahead
Smart planning helps you to anticipate problems and adapt as circumstances change, while allowing you to set goals and measure performance.

Set measurable targets to monitor how effectively your plans are being implemented. Then review what you’ve achieved so you can learn from your experience and make continuous improvements.
Look for ways to increase your profit.
Try to find ways that increase your prices and boost your profits without your customers noticing. For example, you could focus your efforts on your most profitable customers. Look after the customers who place large or frequent orders, pay the full price on time, and are low maintenance.
Encourage customers to buy more – and to buy more frequently.

If your loyal customers increase the amount they spend at your business and the frequency of their visits, your profits will increase accordingly. Encourage your customers to spend more by:
  • Stocking a wider range of products (with decent profit margins) and introducing complementary services.
  • Setting up a loyalty programme that rewards them for frequent visits.
  • Up selling and cross selling
Introduce complementary goods or services with higher profit margins
When introducing new products or services with higher profit margins, choose ones that your customers have expressed an interest in buying. For example, if you sell mobile phones, consider stocking such high-margin products as tablet computers, laptops and electronic gadgets.

Could you offer products or services that are in some way unique or unavailable locally? This would:
  • Set you apart from your competitors
  • Justify higher prices
  • Boost your profits
Review your profit margins
Businesses that offer a range of products can use a simple technique to improve overall profitability. This involves reviewing sales and profit margins periodically, and dividing products into four categories. They are:
  • A high percentage of sales and high profit margins – nurture these stars.
  • A high percentage of sales but low profit margins – consider a price increase and examine how you can cut costs to increase your profit margins.
  • A low percentage of sales but high profit margins – consider this a sales push;
  • A low percentage of sales and low profit margins – eliminate these where possible.
Take into account any possible effects before making decisions. For example, a low-profit product might be used as a loss leader to attract customers.
Focus on items with higher profit margins

Calculate your profit margin on each product in your range. Consider withdrawing products with a low or very low profit margin. Devote the extra shelf space to products with higher profit margins.

Begin by introducing limited quantities of new or alternative products with higher profit margins and monitor their sales. Incorporate those that are popular into your regular product range.

Similarly, if you offer services, identify the services that deliver the most profit to your business. Discontinue services that aren’t very profitable – or add value to them and raise your prices.

How to Get More Profit for Small Business

20:18 Add Comment
While personal reasons for going into business may vary, profit should be one of the goals for your new venture. What if it isn't? Then it needs to quickly move up your list of reasons, or you may find it difficult, if not impossible, to succeed.
How to Get More Profit for Small Business

The late Jim Rohn, one of my favorite business mentors whose rags-to-riches story inspired millions, once said that success is a "numbers game," and nowhere is this more true than in generating a profit.

So whether you're uncomfortable with the idea of profit or you accept it as your company's objective, here are three simple guidelines to establish a profit orientation both in your mindset and your operations:
1. Adopt a "for profit" mindset and accept the fact you need profit to survive.
This is easier said than done, but it can be achieved if you're open to examining your beliefs about money, wealth and profit and committed to changing your point of view.

Jim Rohn also pointed out that while some religious teachings may promote the idea that it's hard for a rich person to get into heaven, they don't say it's impossible. That's an important distinction that may help shift your own perspective on wealth.

Also, consider that business is among the few games around that let anyone play regardless of social status, education or age, and that can produce substantial personal wealth in 10 years or less. Not a bad return if you look at business ownership as one of the best long-term investments you can make in yourself.
2. Aim to buy ever lower and sell ever higher.
Years ago, businesses could survive on lower profit margins, especially in retailing. But these days, increased overhead and competition, along with digital offerings that let customers easily compare prices and services, mean you need higher margins and repeat business to survive.

Fortunately, new technologies offer great opportunities to consistently buy or produce something for $1 or less, then turn around and sell it for $10 or more and deliver impeccable customer service.

To make your numbers work, you also will need to keep a keen eye on costs, including the growing number of hidden expenses such as credit card and other transactions fees, and to focus on maintaining consistently high margins and repeat sales.
3. Know your numbers, then work up the vital numbers.
"Knowing your numbers" means not only knowing your costs, but also which numbers will accelerate your bottom-line growth.

Related: How to Create a Profitable Business Idea

Here is a "Five Ways" formula which can work in any business. Very simply, if you focus on the following five things you can multiply your bottom-line results.
  • Leads
  • Sales conversion rate
  • Average dollar sale
  • Average number of transactions
  • Profit margins
Here's how the "Five Ways" formula works:
Leads x Sales conversion rate = Customers

Customers x Average dollar sale x Average number of transactions = Revenue

Revenue x Profit Margins = Profit
To start getting the greatest benefit from the formula, try boosting your profit margins by at least 10%. Increasing profit margins is easiest and least expensive for most businesses, while generating more leads is generally hardest and most costly.

You can also boost profits by raising prices. Few people will notice a small increase in price, preferably on your best selling item, but you will immediately notice the difference in your profits.

Remember, all businesses need profit to survive, thrive and contribute to their owners, customers and community. The quicker you can generate higher and more consistent profits, the closer you'll be to achieving your own vision of success.

How to Scale your business for basic businessman

20:13 Add Comment
To make 2017 your best year yet, I have three areas of study you’ll want to focus on. A word of warning, though: When you focus on these areas in your business and gain competency with the skills you learn (hint: you need more skills than just marketing to scale up), you will start to see amazing things happen. So be prepared for change!

how-to-scale-your-business-for-basic

1. Hiring people (and the right people, at that).
No business can scale up to $5 million or $10 million without hiring talent in some capacity. I know that even mentioning the word “employees” can leave a bad taste for some business owners, because all they see is the annual salary being shoveled out of their accounts or the petty squabbles in the break room.

Let me be honest with you -- at times, it is difficult to have such a large team. But I know of very few areas in business that are easy. Dealing with difficulty is why you make the big bucks. If you feel that no one can do it as good as you, or you always seem to end up with a bad team, I have some hard, no BS truth for you: It’s not the employees. It’s your leadership skills. Learn to hire the support you need so you can actively work toward achieving your business goals.
2. Utilizing systems and processes to be successful.
The two main reasons entrepreneurs have a difficult time managing people is a lack of leadership skills (as we discussed above) and a lack of systems. Once you have a solid team in place, you have to make sure they have the tools they need to get the job done.

It is nearly impossible for someone to be a good employee when all the info on how they should do their job is locked in your head, so you must have a system in place to communicate your ideas, needs, and goals. Also, not having processes in place to facilitate workflow is like turning on a fire hydrant without connecting the hose — no one knows what’s going on and all you end up with is a big mess.

So set your business up for success from the inside: create systems for conveying ideas, and develop processes for making them a reality. Your team will thank you.
3. Investing in customer retention.
Dan S. Kennedy and I co-authored The No B.S. Guide to Maximum Referrals and Customer
Retention (Entrepreneur Press, March 2016) to address this key point. In summary, this book is all about adopting a new approach to your marketing strategy by leveraging the influence of the customers you already have.

Have you ever attended one of Dan’s events and seen him go around the room, asking people to raise their hands if they have been with him for five years, 10 years, or even 20 years? How much money do you think a guy spends when he’s been a member of Dan’s mentorship program for 20 years? What is this longevity worth? I can’t speak for anyone else, but as someone who is approaching 20 years with Dan, I can tell you I’m in it for a grand total of around $200,000.

If your plan is growth, it must include an investment in retention. If you don’t focus on this area of your business, you will most definitely be leaving money on the table.

If you are an existing business with steady revenue and a small team, it may be difficult to know where to start, so let me point you in the right direction. First, keep all your existing marketing going; just hold off from adding anything new for a short while so that you can ensure you have the team to support your new initiatives and elevated marketing campaigns. Second, you need to set in place your day-to-day systems so that you can take some pressure off of yourself and other key team members (and avoid the mess of a loose fire hydrant). Third, you need to plug the holes in your leaky customer bucket and spend some time on customer retention.

Business tips for small business owner

19:16 Add Comment
The biggest problem founders and small business owners have is that they’re experts in their field and novices in what it really takes to effectively run a business. That’s what usually trips them up, sooner or later.
business-tips-for-small-business-owner
Don’t let that happen to you. Admit that you don’t know what you don’t know about business, starting with these 15 tips guaranteed to help keep you and your company out of hot water. Some are straightforward, others are counterintuitive, but they’re all true. And some day they’ll save your butt.
Always make sure there is and will be enough cash in the bank.
Period. The most common business-failure mode, hands down, is running out of cash. If you know you’ve got a cash flow or liquidity problem coming up, fix it now.
You can’t fire bad employees fast enough.
You just can’t. Just make sure you know they’re the problem, not you.

The problem is probably you.
When I was a young manager, my company sent us all to a week of quality training where the most important concept we learned was that 90 percent of all problems are management problems. When things aren’t going well, the first place to look for answers is in the mirror.
Take care of your stars.
This goes for every company, big and small. The cost of losing a star employee is enormous, yet business leaders rarely take the time to ensure their top performers are properly motivated, challenged, and compensated.
Your people are not your kids, your personal assistants, or your shrink.
If you use and abuse them that way, you will come to regret it. Capiche?
Learn to say "yes" and "no" a lot.
The two most important words business owners and founders have at their disposal are “yes” and “no.” Learn to say them a lot. And that means being decisive. The most important reason to focus – to be clear on what your company does – is to be clear on all the things it doesn’t do.
Listen to your customers.
It boggles my mind how little most entrepreneurs value their customers when, not only are their feedback and input among the most critical information they will ever learn, but their repeat business is the easiest business to get.
Learn two words: meritocracy and nepotism.
The first is how you run an organization – by recognizing, rewarding, and compensating based solely on ability and achievement. The second is how you don’t run an organization – by playing favorites and being biased.
Know when and when not to be transparent.
Transparency is as detrimental at some times as it is beneficial at others. There are times to share openly and times to zip it. You need to know when and with whom to do one versus the other. It comes with experience.
Trust your gut.
This phrase is often repeated but rarely understood. It means that your own instincts are an extremely valuable decision-making tool. Too often we end up saying in retrospect and with regret, “Damn, I knew that was a bad idea.” But the key is to know how to access your instincts. Just sit, be quiet, and listen to yourself.
Protect and defend your intellectual property.
Most of you don’t know the difference between a copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent.
That’s not acceptable. If you don’t protect and defend your IP, you will lose your only competitive advantage.
Learn to read and write effective agreements.
You know the expression “good fences make good neighbors?” It’s the same in business. The more effective your agreements are, the better your business relationships will be.
Run your business like a business.
Far too many entrepreneurs run their business like an extension of their personal finances. Bad idea. Very bad idea. Construct the right business entity and keep it separate from your personal life.
Know your finances inside and out.
If you don’t know your revenues, expenses, capital requirements, profits (gross and net), debt, cash flow, and effective tax rate – among other things – you’re asking for trouble. Big trouble.
You don’t know what you don’t know.
Humility is a powerful trait for leaders, and that goes for new business owners, veteran CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and everyone in between. More times than not, you will come to regret thinking you knew all the answers.

Behind every failed company are dysfunctional, delusional, or incompetent business leaders. The irony is, none of them had the slightest idea that was true at the time. Even sadder, most of them still don’t. Don't end up like one of them.

How To Stay Motivated in Your Small Business That You Have Started

06:23 Add Comment
There must be one reason why so many people often quit completing a business, whether it's a small or large business. Maybe they feel the business is very difficult to do so they are frustrated and stressed. Finally they stop working on it or at least they think to stop.

how-to-stay-motivated-in-your-small-business
When they are frustrated, they will automatically create a barrier within them that causes their motivation to continue their work undisturbed. Their high enthusiasm for the first time will come down very drastically and the chances of them stopping running their business on the road are immense.

What do they usually do at times like that? They will walk by dragging their feet, making coffee and when meeting someone who is 'right', they will spend a few minutes for one-way talk, complaining about the project or the task they are working on. Maybe unconsciously you've experienced it.

When they have finished complaining, they immediately return to their task and think with great hesitation and hatred, how they can finish their work. Instead of falling into more difficult circumstances and adding to your frustrations, I will try to share 5 ways in which you remain productive and motivated to accomplish what you have started and are enthusiastic about what you are doing:

1. Break up your task into small sections.

You just need to divide your task (break down) into smaller parts to be more controllable. For example: you have a personal target to open a business. If all you can think of is opening a business premises immediately, then you can be frustrated in the middle of the road. All you have to do is divide your tasks into smaller tasks, such as: site surveys, looking for suppliers, taking care of licenses, looking for employees, buying business supplies and promotional activities. Does not it look any easier? By dividing your task into smaller tasks, it will make your work also less boring. When you successfully complete a small task, you will feel satisfied and happy. Psychologically this is a valuable capital to step into the next small task.

But before you move on to the next task, it's good to reward yourself, for example, buy a cup of starbucks coffee or anything else that can spoil you to celebrate the achievements you have made. When the celebration ends, go back to your work and start doing your next little task. I'm sure your mood at that time will be very different. You will be more productive and more motivated to work. On the one hand you will try to find again the next awards.

2. Take advantage of the snowball effect.

Try to find the part of your task that is the most fun and start from there. You will easily and quickly complete the work. Maybe you've heard the tips on doing exam questions: start from the easy first, leave first the difficult questions. If you are only struggling on difficult questions, you will be stressed out and running out of time, while there are still many problems that have not yet been worked out. This principle is the same used in completing your task or project.

When you are done with the fun part of the task, you unconsciously take a step further towards completing your task or project. This will of course increase your confidence and motivation to accomplish more difficult next tasks. When you get back to completing, your confidence is even higher. This is called the snowball effect.

3. Avoid doing many tasks at once.

Some people have the nature of wanting to quickly get the job done. This trait is actually good, but the bad thing is if it is practiced by doing multiple tasks simultaneously. I used to like to do bad habits like this. Finally no work is done, it takes longer. Taste superman could not complete the tasks at once.

Focus on what is already in front of your eyes. Complete your tasks one by one. I guarantee you will be more productive, your motivation level will continue to increase (as I have mentioned in point 1 and 2), and you will finish the job faster.

4. Rest and have fun

There is one moment where your motivation decreases and you feel uninspired. Maybe you have been through long and exhausting days, or the remaining tasks are so tough to finish and time consuming. You are not a robot, therefore I strongly advise you to leave work temporarily.

Do fun things, like watching a movie, going to a favorite restaurant, chatting, or hanging out with your friends. The goal here is to divert your attention from your tasks and reduce the stress / frustration you feel. So when you do these fun things, do not think about unfinished tasks. Really forget the total! When you get back to your task, I'm sure you'll be more relaxed, refreshed and motivated to continue.

5. Take a break.

Resting again? Yes, but this time is a short break. After you work for 40-45 minutes, take a light break for 3-5 minutes. It is recommended that you move slightly away from your work area.

Research says that after you work for 40-45 minutes, your brain tends to tire or slow down. Maybe the condition does not allow you to delay or leave work. But the point is when you feel very tired or you can not focus again, rest for a moment. Stretch, drink a glass of water, or take a walk for fresh air. You will get instant energy instantly, so you will be motivated and eager to resume your work.

Make these 5 things a part of your life. If you can do it consistently, I think you will be more productive, more enthusiastic, more motivated and have a high sense of self-satisfaction.

02:31 Add Comment
As a smaller business, you don't have the unlimited budget of a large corporation when it comes to your custom promotional merchandise, which means you need to look for branded merchandise that is affordable and will work into your budget. Just because you are a smaller company, doesn't mean you should ignore this amazing branding opportunity.

types-of-custom-promotional-merchandise-ideal-for-smaller-businesses
We have put a list of the top custom promotional merchandise options for the smaller business, that will work into your budget and provide clients with a branded item that they can use, boosting your brand visibility on a daily basis.

The first and probably the most popular of all the custom promotional merchandise that you can buy is T-Shirts. Ensure when you choose to brand t-shirts with your company logo that you choose a good quality garment, such as a polo shirt, which can be worn by men and women. Whether you are getting your team to wear the t-shirts to promote your business wherever they go or you are looking for promotional t-shirts you can give or sell to your clients, never ever compromise on quality.

Another great opportunity for the smaller business is branded pens. Everyone uses pens and they are cheap. You can buy a high volume of pens branded with your logo at a price that works into your budget and you can use them in-house and hand them out to clients, so that your company name is being seen throughout the day every day.

Further you may want to look at coffee mugs. Almost everyone has their own coffee mug at the office and drinks at least one cup of coffee while at work. The benefit of these mugs is that they are branded with your company name and logo, along with any other important information you want to put on them, what this means is every sip of coffee or tea your client takes, your name is seen and remembered, not only by them but the others in the office.

Key chains are another great branding opportunity when looking for affordable custom promotional merchandise. Have some key chains printed with your company name, logo, address and phone number. Clients can use the key chain on their keys and in the event they are lost, hopefully someone has contacted your company or dropped them off. In addition to branding these are a great opportunity to add a bit of added value to your service.

If you have a store, then you definitely want to look at reusable bags that your clients can take away from your store and use time and time again when they do their basic shopping. The great thing with reusable bags is that your clients can use them for anything and at any time and what that means is your company name is being seen by a variety of people every time your client leaves their home with your bag in hand.

If you are on a very tight budget, then take a look at lanyards. Lanyards hang around your neck, with your branding of course, but the benefit is that clients can use them to hang their access card for the office or even their keys to reduce the risk of losing them. They can be used for all types of applications, boosting your brand in the process.

Other options can include the credit card wallet, because these days with the number of credit cards, debit cards and loyalty cards you receive, they cannot all fit into your wallet easily. The credit card wallet can free up your clients purse or wallet, enabling them to keep all their cards in one handy place.

Every catered occasion can be a new experience to meet different kinds of people from all lifestyles. It is important that you have the stamina and the ability to work under pressure because of the demanding work that awaits you. You may need the help of some friends first before you may hire employees who are experienced in this kind of field.

It is a requirement for a catering business to have a license to operate like those permits that are issued to food establishments that have also catering services as well. Catering services are inspected by the Board of Health to see if they have the right materials and the capacity to prepare and handle food that is safe to the public.

You may get your license at the local Health Department. You have to apply first before you obtain the permit to operate a business catering service. An inspection will be needed to check if you will pass the food sanitation requirements. After you have acquired your license, there will be regular check-up routines to ensure that you will sustain cleanliness and sanitation of your catering service.

There are states that require a catering service must have a separate area for the food operation and the kitchen facility of the house. This is important because they will not issue a license if you have a set up wherein they may see food sanitation is not your priority. If you want to remodel the set up, you must pass the plans and remodeled features to the Health Department for confirmation that you are following the required construction to your home facilities and to your food operation area.

It is important to target your market in this business if you are given the permit to operate already. Know your competition and be aware of their strengths and weaknesses. If you are stable with your finances, you may hire applicants that are experienced in this kind of business.

What is Multi Level Marketing?

02:47 Add Comment
Multi level marketing is known as network marketing. This is a kind of business where franchising and direct selling are combined. This business makes a person associated to a company in an independent transaction approach. It is an approach where the company creates a contactor relationship to the person who wants to expand his business.
what+is+multi+level+marketing
The members make their earnings based on the sales they have reached in that particular product or service. It also includes the sales of the person that they have recruited to join the business. Most of the time the individual who has recruited more members and provided a good sales output on the product compensate higher because of the effort to transact in two different fields.

There are “pyramid schemes” or Ponzi schemes, which are considered illegal. Most people associate multi level marketing to these kind of schemes because they also recognize themselves to be a legitimate networking business. Because of the bad image brought up by these schemes, many prefer to use their names for their businesses as “home based business franchising” or “affiliate marketing”.

Commissions are earned in the process of selling a particular product or service in a legitimate network marketing. There can be no earnings in what they call as a “sign up fee” or for just recruiting yourself alone. This kind of marketing is always criticized because of the questionable recruitment process where they get their revenue and profit. They get their sales from members and new members, which are considered the end users of the product and as the distributors.

These criticisms led to the major changes in the multi level marketing in the early 1980s when many companies have started to allow their members to concentrate only on marketing and not on distributing or stocking the product. Most multi level marketing firms nowadays perform as fulfillment firms by taking the tasks of shipping the product, paying the commissions and taking orders from their clients.

Many people who are victims of the illegal schemes in multi level marketing are required to buy expensive products, but most of these schemes do not last long because most of the sales are not easily resold.

Content Marketing: What Content Marketers Need To Do And What Not To Do

10:15 Add Comment
The business of content marketing is fundamentally based on the premise of "content being king" and rightly so, but with multiple social media platforms to market on, you will need to keep publishing content on a regular basis. This could be blog posts, podcasts, e-books, videos or more to ensure that you generate enough eyeballs. But more content may not be better or necessarily effective if a full-fledged content marketing strategy is not in place. The volume of content is just one of the many things you need to consider when thinking of.

content+marketing+what+content+marketers+needs

Nick Westergaard shares with us how he shapes his content strategy by referring and relating to
Rudyard Kipling's 1902 poem "The Elephant's Child".

I keep six honest serving-men (They taught me all I knew);

Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

Questions-What, Why, When, How, Where and Who

We can also use these six men to come up with our content marketing strategies. The five W's (and the one H) can do much, especially in simplifying your content creation process. It is important to focus on WHY, WHO and WHAT to set the foundation for content that is both business centric and appeals to your target base.

WHY - "Start with Why" is Simon Sinek's now famous Mantra that makes so much sense in today's Why is your business objective - Why do it?

Content Marketing can help you achieve specific business objectives and your WHY should be answered by one of them in each of your real world scenarios.

Branding: Are you looking at establishing familiarity of your brand or creating/re-creating your brand image within your industry or market segment?
Community Building: Is your goal to build a community around your product or service that allows for a free flow of information and feedback?
Public Relations: Do you seek to tailor your content for promotions and PR events?
Market Research: Are you looking to gauge market feedback on any particular topic, analyze the data and use to your advantage?
Customer Service: Do you wish to offer service related content to engage and connect with your existing customer base?
Lead Generation: Do you want to create inquiry based traffic and generate leads for newer sales?

Which then brings us to Who (m) or WHO, that refers to the audience that you are targeting or already serving. Your content has to offer some kind of a solution - it has to serve a need in the lives of your customers. This would mean that you've got to figure out your customers' preferences and find out what is actually important to them. This can be achieved by reviewing quantitative demographics and qualitative psychographics.

Finally based on your business objective (the why) and figuring out your target audience (who), you are in a better situation to decide WHAT form of content do you need in that scenario. It's all about creating content that fits a simple strategy - what's best for your brand?

Kipling's first three serving men, the Why, Who, and What provides a simplified foundation for a strategic framework you can use to arrive at the right content serving the needs of both your audience and your business. We can now delve into the details with the rest of the serving men - WHEN (period and frequency) - WHERE (internally or externally, which platform) and finally HOW (plan of action, how will you measure the success)

It would help to have an innovative mindset in place to ensure that your content not only grabs attention but also holds it. It's not just about piquing curiosity, but also about engaging your customer towards an action or a reaction that you would like. Of course, you will have a variety of metrics to evaluate your publications - page views, video views, length of view time, social media shares etc. but do remember to optimize for your mission rather than for the metrics.

B2B content marketing mistakes

Now that we've looked at the essentials, let's look at some common B2B content marketing Mistakes so that we may steer away from them. According to the research that involved over 5000 B2B purchase participants across 12 industries, the three mistakes that undermine a firm's content marketing strategy are...

Too much of "thought leadership" in the content.
Most marketers use their content strategy in B2B marketing scenarios to demonstrate their levels of expertise and "thought leadership" in their industry. While they may believe they are being perceived as "experts", a CEB research shows that simply representing a "smart perspective" has no significant impact on the decision making of the customers. Rather it is good content that enlightens the customers about new developments in their industry and opens new ways of looking at their businesses. It should give them a compelling reason to consider a change and take an urgent action.

Too much "personalization" of content
While there is a school of thought that personalization of content to suit each stakeholder of your purchase group is the way ahead, this strategy has been shown to backfire, especially with multiple stakeholders having a say in the purchase decision. In fact, trying to personalize content for each member usually impacts the likelihood of a higher quality sale -and this is because diverse stakeholders have different priorities and look at solutions from their perspective. This leads to them opting for a "lower price" solution than what would be ideal for their business. So an effective content strategy should focus on a broader vision and offer a more collective solution that point in your direction.

Content that doesn't allow you to gauge purchase process.
Marketers use content towards engaging customers and encouraging a purchase from them. However, very often, when they see some engagement with their content, they assume that there is an interest and consider such interaction as a step in the right direction - "the purchase progress path" and as a result, pass on the opportunity to the sales team but to no avail. Instead, it will be better to design content that can plot the levels and timing of engagement on the purchase path. This can be done by including questions that are most likely to be asked by customers along each step and then create marketing content that answers each question along the way.

These above mistakes are quite common and it is the time we take heed and break away from standardized content that seems to focus on "thought leadership", "personalization" and "consumption metrics" but may not give you the results you seek.

So looking back at what we discovered, the ideal content marketing strategy would enlist the help of Kipling's six serving men to set up a simple yet smart foundation for developing your content, and then consciously steer away from some common mistakes made by content marketers today.

Content marketing in today's world is not only about creating a mechanized funnel to drive business in, but also creating opportunities to add knowledgeable insights while encouraging and urging your customers to walk down your revenue path with an eventual purchase or sale
