How To Stay Motivated in Your Small Business That You Have Started

There must be one reason why so many people often quit completing a business, whether it's a small or large business. Maybe they feel the business is very difficult to do so they are frustrated and stressed. Finally they stop working on it or at least they think to stop.

When they are frustrated, they will automatically create a barrier within them that causes their motivation to continue their work undisturbed. Their high enthusiasm for the first time will come down very drastically and the chances of them stopping running their business on the road are immense.

What do they usually do at times like that? They will walk by dragging their feet, making coffee and when meeting someone who is 'right', they will spend a few minutes for one-way talk, complaining about the project or the task they are working on. Maybe unconsciously you've experienced it.

When they have finished complaining, they immediately return to their task and think with great hesitation and hatred, how they can finish their work. Instead of falling into more difficult circumstances and adding to your frustrations, I will try to share 5 ways in which you remain productive and motivated to accomplish what you have started and are enthusiastic about what you are doing:

1. Break up your task into small sections.

You just need to divide your task (break down) into smaller parts to be more controllable. For example: you have a personal target to open a business. If all you can think of is opening a business premises immediately, then you can be frustrated in the middle of the road. All you have to do is divide your tasks into smaller tasks, such as: site surveys, looking for suppliers, taking care of licenses, looking for employees, buying business supplies and promotional activities. Does not it look any easier? By dividing your task into smaller tasks, it will make your work also less boring. When you successfully complete a small task, you will feel satisfied and happy. Psychologically this is a valuable capital to step into the next small task.

But before you move on to the next task, it's good to reward yourself, for example, buy a cup of starbucks coffee or anything else that can spoil you to celebrate the achievements you have made. When the celebration ends, go back to your work and start doing your next little task. I'm sure your mood at that time will be very different. You will be more productive and more motivated to work. On the one hand you will try to find again the next awards.

2. Take advantage of the snowball effect.

Try to find the part of your task that is the most fun and start from there. You will easily and quickly complete the work. Maybe you've heard the tips on doing exam questions: start from the easy first, leave first the difficult questions. If you are only struggling on difficult questions, you will be stressed out and running out of time, while there are still many problems that have not yet been worked out. This principle is the same used in completing your task or project.

When you are done with the fun part of the task, you unconsciously take a step further towards completing your task or project. This will of course increase your confidence and motivation to accomplish more difficult next tasks. When you get back to completing, your confidence is even higher. This is called the snowball effect.

3. Avoid doing many tasks at once.

Some people have the nature of wanting to quickly get the job done. This trait is actually good, but the bad thing is if it is practiced by doing multiple tasks simultaneously. I used to like to do bad habits like this. Finally no work is done, it takes longer. Taste superman could not complete the tasks at once.

Focus on what is already in front of your eyes. Complete your tasks one by one. I guarantee you will be more productive, your motivation level will continue to increase (as I have mentioned in point 1 and 2), and you will finish the job faster.

4. Rest and have fun

There is one moment where your motivation decreases and you feel uninspired. Maybe you have been through long and exhausting days, or the remaining tasks are so tough to finish and time consuming. You are not a robot, therefore I strongly advise you to leave work temporarily.

Do fun things, like watching a movie, going to a favorite restaurant, chatting, or hanging out with your friends. The goal here is to divert your attention from your tasks and reduce the stress / frustration you feel. So when you do these fun things, do not think about unfinished tasks. Really forget the total! When you get back to your task, I'm sure you'll be more relaxed, refreshed and motivated to continue.

5. Take a break.

Resting again? Yes, but this time is a short break. After you work for 40-45 minutes, take a light break for 3-5 minutes. It is recommended that you move slightly away from your work area.

Research says that after you work for 40-45 minutes, your brain tends to tire or slow down. Maybe the condition does not allow you to delay or leave work. But the point is when you feel very tired or you can not focus again, rest for a moment. Stretch, drink a glass of water, or take a walk for fresh air. You will get instant energy instantly, so you will be motivated and eager to resume your work.

Make these 5 things a part of your life. If you can do it consistently, I think you will be more productive, more enthusiastic, more motivated and have a high sense of self-satisfaction.
